I have started a tattoo project on my leg which I am tattooing myself. I plan to do a 50's rockabilly theme. I also have a chest piece which is getting done by a professional tattoo artist. Here are my two current tats.

Thanks Alyce. I checked out your blog you have some amazing work. Congrats on the tattoo apprenticeship. I'm still looking but I have some friends in the business that's helping me out unofficially haha. Where abouts are you doing your app?
i am doing my app in diamond creek. that's great that you have friends that are helping you out, it goes a long way when applying for an apprenticeship. make sure that you have a well built folio to show potential bosses, it's one of the first things they look for :)
Thanks Alyce. I have been spending most of my days just drawing as much as I can. I try and do some painting here and there but painting is still new to me, I did my first painting this year haha.
Im putting together a folio now of all my art and really trying to get it as perfect as I can. Im sure you have heaps of friends willing but when you get to the stage where you are tattooing customers let me know I'll get you to tattoo something for me.
will do and same with you as well. Hey, a great tattooist you should look at is Mick Squires (local in melbourne) and Nick Morte, they are two of my favorite tattooists. And if you don't know there is a tattoo convention coming to melbourne early next year,, google 'The rights of Passage' and that is the convention, lots of aussie and overseas artist going.
I know of Mick he is amazing but I have seen any of Nick Morte work Ill definitely check out his work. I got a pamphlet for for the Rights of Passage convention the last time I got tattooed, I cant wait to get! Will be my first tattoo convention.
